golfTomball high schools girls’ soccer team is expecting to go deep into the playoffs this year.

With tryouts finished and some fresh faces, Coach Martha Fancher was happy to see a few of her girls returning.

Cara and Katie Haymaker, both seniors and two of the best offensive and defensive players will be returning.

Also returning to her varsity team is one of her best goalies and well-liked player Rene Kelly.

She has put together a very talented team with many players who keep their heads in the game and work their best to get where they need.

There will only be five teams in the new district this year, making it difficult to make up for any losses they might have.

“I am looking forward to the new experiences that will come along with playing all 4A teams, they will be putting forth their best efforts to make it to the playoffs and come out on top,” Coach Fancher said.

Players say that the team is like one big family ready to face any and all challenges that they might come up against with the new district.
