The Lady Cougars defeated Kingwood 10-0 Friday night to open the playoffs, taking Game 1 of the best-of-three series at Tomball. Game 2 is today at 1 p.m. at Kingwood, followed by Game 3 if needed.
Tomball finished the regular season in second place in District 13-5A.
Coach Benita Dunlavy is hoping for a strong turnout to cheer on the Lady Cougars.
