Tomball, always a powerhouse team in Water Polo, is heading back to the state tournament after the boys and girls teams each captured regional titles over the weekend.
They will both play Friday, May 4, in Austin in the first round of the state tournament.
At regionals, individual girls awards were given to goalie Kelly Marshall, who was named to the first team, and Nikki Waters and Anna Majeski, who were named second team. On the boys side, Cameron Hindmarsh was named first team, Harry Oliver to the second team and goalie Reed Doss received honorable mention.
The excitement was marred, however, after Oliver suffered a head injury during the third game of the weekend. He remains in the hospital for treatment.
