The much anticipated district volleyball showdown ended with a victory for Tomball last Friday.
Pundits had predicted Klein Collins as first in district, followed by Klein, and in third, Tomball. Our own Lady Cougars proved them wrong last week. With a three-game win, Tomball swept the Bearkats and improved to 3-0 in district play.
In the last match, the Cougars kept Klein under 10 points, finishing with a remarkable 25-9 win.
The Freshmen A and B teams lost in tight games, taken to three. And the junior varsity team also lost in a hard-fought two matches.
On Tuesday, Klein Collins comes to Tomball for another district game. The Lady Cougars have been working hard in practice in order to maintain their standing of “undefeated in district.” They also plan on proving the experts wrong, yet again, by defeating the Collins Tigers.
The Red Nation members have already begun their preparations for possibly the biggest game of the season. They have not decided for sure yet, but they are considering “camo” for the theme for Tuesday night’s game.
