Tomball Memorial has officially chosen Tomball High School’s very own Andrew Easton as their head band director.
After this school year, Easton will be stepping down as the Cougar Pride Band’s assistant director and off to leading the new school’s band.
“Yes, I have officially accepted the offer,” Easton confirmed.
The new school also now has a football coach. Finis Vanover has been selected as the first football coach at Tomball Memorial, The Brazosport Facts reported Monday night.
Vanover was the athletics director and football coach for Angleton High School, in Brazoria County south of Houston, for five seasons and had a 35-22 record, including two trips to the regional semifinals.
Vanover resigned his position Monday night, saying he was accepting the job at Tomball Memorial.
“It’s one of those things where it is time and it is right,” Vanover told the Brazosport Facts. “I am very proud of our accomplishments and the kids have been absolutely incredible.”
