Despite numerous rumors floating around the school, Tomball’s record in football continues to have a single blemish.
Rumors have been ripe all week that Klein Collins will have to forfeit its win against Tomball due to a player flunking a test for steroids. It turns out that the rumor is merely wishful thinking.
As Athletic Director Ronnie Peacock notes, even if a player did fail a drug test it would only mean he was ineligible for a game; it would not be grounds for a forfeit. Besides, there has been no reports from District 13-5A or Klein ISD to indicate this happened.
So Tomball enters tonight’s game with a single loss. If it’s still that way come Monday, there’s a chance the Cougars could get another shot at Klein Collins, this time in the playoffs.
