This school year is drastically different from previous ones due to COVID-19, and with that many colleges have changed their application processes. Be sure to check each college’s requirements, including ACT/SAT scores, weighted or unweighted GPA, and class rank.

With ACT/SAT scores becoming widely optional among various colleges and educational institutions, many more colleges are using holistic review, where essays, activities, and grades are evenly weighted while reviewing applications.

Many college campuses are closed until further notice and not currently offering in-person tours. Students interested in a specific college are encouraged to take virtual tours, which a wide variety of schools offer on their website. If possible, students can still visit college campuses, however without an official document from the college they will be counted absent that day.

Those who have waivers for applying to colleges and are in need of help can contact Mrs. Nichols, since most colleges differ in their fee waiver policies when sending in applications.
