The new Just Serve club, a club dedicated to volunteering within the community, will have its first volunteer project on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Students will meet in Room 1225 and decorate brown paper bags that will be used for preschooler lunches. Anyone interested is asked to bring brown paper bags and can receive volunteer hours for their time.

The club meets virtually the second Wednesday of every month to discuss upcoming service projects and how to get involved. The Just Serve app is available for all members to find volunteer opportunities within their community to volunteer on their own, outside of the monthly service project with the club.

“I’m super excited to be able to engage in service projects with my classmates,” President Katie Abbott said, “and create an opportunity for others to participate in service activities to better the community.”
