After months of early morning practices, two qualifying competitions, and lots of school spirit, Tomball’s cheer squads approach their final chance to prove themselves at the NCA National Cheer competition.

The two day event begins Saturday with their first performance, and ends Sunday with the last time these girls will be showcasing their fight song, band dance, and cheer.

These next few weeks they have will be meeting before and after school to get in the most practice they can before the big day, perfecting their stunts, motions, tumbling, and crowd effectiveness. They also plan to have a show-off performance Friday during first period, all are welcome to watch.

Back in November, the ladies competed with their routines the first time at Regionals, finishing in 2nd place and qualifying for State. Next, they hit Dallas, where they earned 2nd in the band dance and cheer, and 4th in their fight song.

Now the girls are headed back to Dallas for the National Championship and are determined to steal the first place title. The cheerleaders feel extra honored to be competing since this will be the first time in 5 years that our school has participated at the NCA Cheer Nationals.
