Tomball High School and College Park both had their first football game of the season last Friday after the recent hurricane. During the halftime show, the band and color guard of both schools, College Park and Tomball, joined together to create a halftime performance for the remembrance of those who had lost everything in Hurricane Harvey.

Due to the cancellation of both high schools original first game, both high schools decided to create a memorial and join together under the Friday night lights of Woodforest Bank Stadium. The band programs both decided that since we had the previous week off that it would be beneficial to both programs and to the community that instead of performing our UIL shows we would give back to our communities and to those who had lost all of their belongings in Harvey.

The bands performed a piece called “Summon the Heroes” while both color guards presented two large Texas flags. This week, the band will go back to performing their UIL show titled “The Missing Piece.”
