Cougar Claw Special Report: Clown Lives Matter
Recently, a clown epidemic has taken the nation by storm. It all started when two individuals dressed in clown costumes were found in South Carolina, attempting to terrorize young children.
Since the initial clown sightings, clowns are now seen by the general public as psychopathic killers. Social media accounts have been created titled “Clown Sightings” and report fake incidences in an attempt to frighten the public. Many are fed up with clowns, and some are threatening to shoot on sight. Others, simply want the clown talk to end.
Professional clowns across the country are losing their jobs due to the fear of “killer clowns.”
The Daily News reported that one of these professionals, Jordan Jones, has begun a Facebook campaign, “Clown Lives Matter”, in an attempt to defend other professional clowns against all the hate that’s been hitting the media lately. Jones is not the only clown that’s speaking out.
“I hope this doesn’t have a bad impact, but I don’t see how it can’t because it’s increasing people’s fears for clowns,” Debi Pierce, another professional clown, said. “October is usually a great month for me. My business has slowed down, now I’m wondering if this related.”
Several professional clowns, both full and part time, have been affected. Their way of life is at risk and their businesses are in danger. Some are even fearing for their life.
