J.R.O.T.C. prepares for state drill meet

The sound of marching feet pierce the still afternoon as a group of young cadets march forward onto the drill area their nerves stretched knowing what they are soon to face on Feb.26-27. The State Drill meet at Texas A&M.

The JROTC Drill Teams are representing, small but proud Tomball, against the best of Texas. Despite the long odds, four years ago the JROTC went to state with schools with names like Nimitz, George Bush, and Flower Bluff.

This year the JROTC has been working tirelessly to perfect their Drill and uniforms. Each one of the cadets in the drill teams put in their best, taking time from their school, jobs, and family to prepare. If JROTC takes at least third then the  unit will go to the nationals, where the best in the entire country compete.

What ever happens, each Drill Team Member of has put in a maximum effort.
