Future Teachers to state competition
Teachers are undoubtedly some of the most influential people in the world. The Texas Association of Future Educators, also known as TAFE, is the school organization that allows aspiring teachers to practice their teaching skills, express their views on education, and research specific positions in the profession.
Even though TAFE only counts seven members, all who competed at the regional level last November placed in top spots and are now looking forward to round two–the state competition.
The state TAFE tournament will take place Jan 31-Feb 1 at the University of Houston. Some of the Tomball competitors have the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship at UH and a chance to attend the National Competition in Massachusetts this summer.
The Tomball qualifiers will stay at a hotel for state competition while enjoying teaching conventions and revising various Texas Universities’ teaching programs.
