Ag, HOSA among those changing lunches
UPDATE: ROTC no longer to be one of the classes with B lunch.
As of today, “B lunch” will officially be back. The middle lunch period hasn’t been in service since the pre-split days of the high school.
Students that are in Foreign Languages, Social Studies and the CTE classes (Ag, ROTC, HOSA and other classes in the secondary building) during 5th period will now be going to lunch in the middle of class.
This change was brought on by the overcrowded conditions of C lunch and the even worse conditions of A lunch. In fact, there were so many people in A lunch that some students were forced to stand and eat.
“We’ll be doing it as we did before,” assistant principal Kevin Williams said. “For 30 minutes you’ll be in your 5th period class and then the bell will ring to which the students will go to lunch. Then when lunch is finished they’ll head back and finish their class.”
Some find this cutting up of a class disadvantage and others a straight up bad decision (and of course some love missing class).
