TES Cougar Cubs advance to State

When these young thinkers decided to join Tomball Elementary’s DI team, they had no idea what they were in for. This young group of third and fourth graders put together a skit, wrote a song, and handmade their wooden structure capable of holding twenty pounds. And that’s not all. The Cougar Cubs competed with over 200 teams in North Harris County, and came out on top in the elementary division, earning them a place at the state competition, which takes place in Dallas.

The Cubs’ structure was made perfectly to hold the five pound weight placed on it, while at the same time having weight removed from the structure.

The Cougar Cubs made TES history as one of the two teams to get 1st place and advance to state.
