SciOly snowed out
The Science Olympiad team sat disappointed in the science hallway on Friday last week, as they received an email from the head of Stephenville’s regional tournament saying that their competition would have to be rescheduled due to “blizzard” conditions in that part of Texas.
Tomball’s Science Olympiad has always attended this regional tournament and had planned on sticking to it this year, yet that particular Friday was a disaster throughout all of North Texas as about 5 inches of fresh snow fell in Stephenville and areas surrounding Dallas.
This dramatic change in the weather resulted in very dangerous driving conditions, which ultimately resulted in the decision to reschedule the competition for March 27th and 28th.
The SciOly team now has another month to study and perfect their building events.
Make sure to watch out for the member’s green team shirts and wish them luck at their upcoming tournament, which could land them a spot at the state level tournament.
