Charms to host carnation fundraiser
It’s that time of year again. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and if you’re in need of a gift for that special someone, look no further.
Starting on Jan. 26, the Cougar Charms will be selling carnations for Valentine’s Day at $3 apiece. All carnations will be delivered during first, second, and third periods on Feb. 13.
“I think the idea of selling carnations is really nice,” senior Dom Phillip said. “I especially like the fact that you can make the gift anonymous. It makes it more convenient for people who are nervous or shy.”
In order to make sure the flower recipient receives their carnation, make sure to know the first three class periods of the person receiving the flower. You can also write a message to be delivered with the carnation.
Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted. The flowers will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches and in the Charms room until Feb. 10.
