Itzel Trejo, a 2012 Tomball High School graduate, died in a traffic accident last night with a friend when their car slammed into a concrete pillar under the north Sam Houston Parkway in northwest Harris county.
According to the Houston Chronicle, it was around 8 p.m. as Trejo and Alberto Benavides lost control of their silver Saturn while traveling westbound on the service road of West Beltway 8. The car swerved and rolled, then crashed into a concrete pillar supporting an overpass.
They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Trejo was an active member in the HOLA club. Any of her friends who need assistance in coping with the death are encouraged to speak to their counselor.
