Additional offerings of the Compass test have been scheduled for those who will be a first-time dual credit student next year. The test will be given on April 13 and 14, beginning at 1:40 and continuing after school.
Seating is limited, so students should act quickly to take the test. The deadline is April 1, and students must complete Step One of the college application and get a college identification number first. Step One instructions were given out at the February dual credit meeting, and are also available online at teacherweb.com (THS Guidance) or in the counseling office.
Once Step One is complete, you can reserve a seat through your English teacher.
If students need assistance with the online application, they can meet with the Lone Star College representative who is on the THS campus each Tuesday. See Melinda Fuentez in the counseling office to schedule an appointment.
Students can also seek help directly from Lone Star Enrollment Services and can test at Lone Star Assessment during regular college hours. Students who need to test or retest in only one or two areas should test at the college.
