Review: ‘The School For Good Mothers’

Gabrielle Rodriguez, Staff Writer

Frida getting a call about her daughter being held captive, but once calling the police; they say they have her and she is safe.

Although this novel just only came out on January 4, a lot of the fans of the author have been waiting for this novel to be released in bookstores, and it became a New York Times’ bestseller once it hit the shelves. After reading five pages of this book, I wanted to buy it. It was really interesting how the story was told and the main character Frida was depicted.

The first few pages depict that she is demanded by her boss some much to the point she left her kid at home for two hours. Of course, there are only a few points that help her but in the end, why wouldn’t you just take your kid with you?

This story has left me curious about the end and how it resolved; but it also makes me curious how Frida learns how to be a ‘good mother’ to her child. I believe that this book is not in the library at this school and has a long waiting list in the county library, but it can be purchased at Barnes & Nobles.
