Movie Review: Breathtaking movie about Queen

Introduction

I always hear about the legacy of the band Queen. All of the hit songs they made, to their mesmerizing Live Aid concert. Personally, I do not listen to 70’s or 80’s music,  but whenever I hear a Queen song, I know all of their popular songs. Whenever I first saw the trailer to the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody, I knew it was going to be astonishing. This film is a biography, but the film takes you along the journey on Queen’s road to fame.

Identity

The film, Bohemian Rhapsody, is about how a struggling band had turned world famous. The movie was full of comedy and drama, and was flat out brilliant. It shows the meaning of family, and how it should stick together when in ups and downs. Bohemian Rhapsody shows what happened behind the stage and into the roller coaster of the musicians’ lives.

The movie starts out with the lead singer, Freddie Mercury, watching the band Smile, the band with guitarist, Brian May and drummer, Roger Taylor. Freddie sees them on stage and asks to be in their band, and from there they become world renowned. The movie started out with comedy and it really gave the film a great start, and you can’t take your eyes off the screen.

The movie knew what it was trying to portray, and presented it well.

Acting

Rami Melek, who plays Freddie Mercury, gave an accurate performance of the actual Freddie Mercury. He displayed the character very well, and no one else could have played this part. Even though some of the characters were played by small actors, they still performed as great. Bohemian Rhapsody’s acting was memorable, and was produced very well.

Conclusion

Bohemian Rhapsody is an entertaining movie for all ages, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I was very excited to see this movie, because the life of the iconic band would be brought to life for people like teenagers, who weren’t alive to see the legacy Queen had made.
