Winds hope for their 1st International Competition

Harmony Lopez, Staff Writer

The Tomball Cougar Pride band is hoping to compete at their first WGI winds in April of this year.

Winter percussion competed in WGI last year and won first place, so the new Tomball band directors want to take wind instruments ( brass and woodwinds) to a world competition.

WGI is more than just another competition for the band, it’s a chance to show everyone how hard-working the band is and that it doesn’t revolve around football games.

Last year, the Percussion Cougar Pride band won, but this would be the first time Brass and Woodwinds get involved in WGI.
