iOS 8 Said to be released in the next few weeks

For the past few years Apple has been hard at work developing new software and technology, and updating their operating systems.

iOS 7, released last year, was completely different from any other operating system Apple had put out. The company redesigned everything. From the lock screen and the updated multitasking feature, to the new control panel.

Though that was a huge update for Apple products, iOS 8 has the potential of being an even bigger update.

The Messages app now allows you to add your voice to any conversation. Share a video of what you are seeing, right when you see it. And keep friends and family up to date by alerting them of your location.

The design is also going to change. Now in the multitasking menu, there will be shortcuts to the people you chat with the most. Also, the managing of your email will be updated to save time.

Texting and typing has never been easier. With the help of iOS 8, the keyboard can suggest appropriate words based on the context of what you write. It can also recognize who you are texting and whether you are typing in the Mail app or in Messages.

iCloud is also undergoing major renovations. The iCloud Drive is a new application that keeps any file, and saves it to any device. You can save files such as presentations, PDFs, and pictures.

Health is another new app that will be added with iOS 8. You can track your activity, heart rate, and sleep patterns. It also connects other health/fitness apps with one another to help you manage your wellness on one dashboard.

iOS 8 will be compatible with the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation, iPad 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, and the iPad mini with Retina display.
