Despite the high hopes surrounding the Cats film adaptation, the audience’s reaction was not as expected.

“Despite its fur-midable cast, this Cats adaptation is a clawful mistake that will leave most viewers begging to be put out of their mew-sery.” Rotten Tomatoes said.

CATS did’t make it into any of the Oscar nominations as expected. The movie was completed in a rush to be able to qualify, however, that just made it “bad-made” and not good enough for the acclaimed prize.

The movie has amazing soundtrack, exceptional choreography,  a well-know cast and amazing visual effects. Unfortunately the story is not the best and the song lyrics can barely be understood. This is not nearly as good as expected, it is really a shame.

“People should maybe watch it just because it is something different and abnormal but it’s boring and with a weak childish story.” THS student Jimena Davalos said.

The movie got an audience score of 53% by Rotten Tomatoes and a tomatometer score of only 20%. Tom Hooper’s movie is not nearly as bad as expected.
