Universal Pictures and Working Title’s Cats is a most-unexpected film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved smash musical “Cats” and the poems from “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.” This new fiction movie, directed by Tom Hooper, hit theaters today.

This musical has a well-known cast including singer Taylor Swift, Singer Jason Derulo, comedian James Cordon and actress Judi Dench and many others. The movie has received criticism from the public without it being released yet, mainly from its unusual looks, however, critic reactions so far have said otherwise.

“The Cats movie is the strangest, most bewildering, queerest, magical, and spectacular cinematic experience I have ever had,” Broadway star Alan Henry said. “I am not sure what just happened but I know that it was something worth experiencing.”

Many critics have even speculated that Cats can match the success of the movie adaptations of Les Miserable or Annie, and has the potential to win an Academy Award. However, the film might be too late to qualify for nominations.

The new phenomenon Cats will be out soon to answer these questions and surprise the audience.
