Behind the Dream
RA Midsummer Night’s Dream, according to dozens of teachers and students, was a huge success. The makeup was professional looking, the props were outstanding, and the acting was superb.
Jordan Benson, who went to the Saturday Night performance, said, “The play was very funny, and the acting was great!”
The story is based off of one of Shakespeare’s beloved comical stories about love, magic, and it’s full of memorable characters. The actors worked hard and long to perfect this complicated story, and it payed off. When asked what was the most impressive, students answered, “The Props.”
To no one’s surprise, the props were the hardest for Tomball High School’s theater department to make, and rearrange into certain positions, which added a realistic-looking setting throughout the whole play.
Not only did the acting enchant the audience, but it made them laugh as well. Everyone who went to the performance noted the hilarious actors and actresses who made those watching erupt in laughter.
Eliana Paez, who also attended the Saturday Night performance, said, “It was very funny! I was laughing the whole time. The character Bottom was especially hilarious.”
Impressive, enjoyable, and very well made, A Midsummer Night’s Dream was a play that left the audience wanting more.
