The freshman and JV team of Boys Soccer were officially crowned district champions last week.
The freshman team beat Klein Forest 2-0 at home, becoming undefeated throughout the regular season and achieving a perfect score of points.
Meanwhile, the Junior Varsity team of Boys Soccer won 5-0 to Klein Forest and definitely crowning the team champions of the district and best of the tournament.
“We are happy to make this happen. We worked so hard for it, and with the trust we had from Coach Smallwood, we achieved this district championship. Now we’ve got it, and we’re happy,” said Luis Ojeda, JV star player.
These two teams were managed and formed by Coach Robert Smallwood who with his debut and first season as Coach of the team demonstrated his ability to form champions and also how his previous experience as a player at Tomball High School made him take two trophies home.
The varsity ended the season with a 4-0 victory against Klein Forest and finishing in fifth place in the district table with a record of 6-7-3 and only one place away from playoff.
Now the team hopes to end the season with a banquet with players and family to honor this season’s efforts.
