The Lady Coogs are amidst their toughest stretch of the schedule, playing the rest of the top four teams in the district table. They faced Oak on Friday, taking a tough 2-0 loss which dropped them from 2nd to 3rd in district standings before jumping back to 2nd with a 1-0 win against Memorial.
The Cougars have their biggest matchup of the season upcoming as they travel to Magnolia, the current 1st place team, to face off on Friday. Magnolia handed the girls their first loss of the season the first time these two played. If the Coogs fall again the Bulldogs secure a district championship; however if the Coogs win they will tie Magnolia for 1st in district with two games left in the season before hosting Klein Collins Tuesday.
Softball sweeping through opponents early in season
Softball played in the Cy-Fair varsity tournament last Thursday and Friday where they had a very successful outing, going 5-1 and outside of their one loss scoring 31 runs while only allowing eight. They then played Klein Oak on Tuesday and improved their district record to 4-0 with a 3-2 win.
The girls will travel to Memorial to play the Wildcats on Friday while looking to continue their undefeated streak and then host Magnolia at 2 p.m. Saturday then take on Klein Forest on the road on Tuesday.
Baseball improves to 2-0 in district
The Cougars have lived up to their hype as the number one preseason team in Texas, starting off their season hot at 7-1 and 2-0 in district after their win against Klein Collins on Tuesday.
The team will host the Big Cat Baseball Tournament at home on Thursday and Friday, then will be back in district action after spring break with a back-to-back against Mag West.
Boys Soccer getting ready for senior night matchup
Boys Soccer played Klein Oak on Friday and took a heartbreaking loss 1-0 on a last second penalty, then played their rivalry game against Memorial at TISD Stadium where they tied 0-0.
Tomball will hold its senior night Friday when the boys play Magnolia, then they will travel to Klein Cain to play the undefeated Hurricanes.
