The soccer program debuted at home against Klein Collins in their first official district game on Tuesday, leaving mixed results in an intense day match.
The Freshman team, led by Coach Robert Smallwood, started strong and achieved a historic victory by beating Klein Collins 8-0. With a strong performance, the team did not allow opportunities to the rival, marking a promising start to the season.
The JV team led by Coach Smallwood experienced a closer match. After a balanced first half, the game was finally decided in the second half with a crucial goal that secured the victory for Tomball by a tight 1-0.
But the Varsity team led by Coach Alex McMorris was not as lucky. Inaccuracy and mistakes on the field resulted in a 4-1 defeat. Although they tried to react, they could not come back and closed the night by losing at home.
