As the football season wraps up and varsity heads off to playoffs, the successful year was not only at the top level but program-wide as three of the four sub-varsity teams also won district championships.
After Klein Forest week, in which the Cougars program swept going 5-0 on across all levels, the sub-varsity seasons officially ended and each team had impressive amounts of success.
Freshman red team finished their season on Thursday beating Forest 28 to 8 to complete their season, and they stayed undefeated district champs, finishing with a perfect 10-0 record.
Their freshman counterpart the white team beat Forest 27-0 to finish with a 9-1 record and as district champs in their own right.
JV white team did not play Forest because Forest only has one JV team, so the white team finished their season Wednesday with a 24-6 win against College Park.
This did not win them a district championship unfortunately but they did finish second place with a 7-3 record and won the last five games straight to end the season.
JV red finished their season with a dominant win over Forest 43-6 and finished their season 9-1 and with a district championship
A lot of players on the red as well as white team are joining the varsity team for playoffs as either scout players or rostered players
Combined with varsity’s 9-1 district championship season, the program as a whole finished 47-6 with four district championship teams.
They also program swept multiple teams as they did with Forest, making it an unbelievably successful season for the Tomball Cougars.
