Tomball will head into Klein Memorial Stadium on Thursday, September 12th to open district play against Klein Collins
Tomball goes into this game 2-0 and Collins 0-2. While Tomball has gotten big wins over two playoff teams from last year and Collins is coming off a bad loss, this matchup is highly anticipated and very important for Tomball
Tomball hasn’t beaten Collins since 2007, even in 2021 when they went five rounds deep before they lost in the state semifinals. Collins has won the district and been in the playoffs almost every year since 2013 and even had lots of success before then.
As the opening district game and having their bye week after this, this matchup would be huge for Tomball momentum wise as they’d move to 3-0 and take down one of if not the toughest opponent in the district early.
The Cougars are hoping fans travel well to Klein Memorial to give them support and keep the energy up throughout this key district matchup.
