After an eventful end to the summer full of meetings, tryouts, registration, and drafts, hockey season is officially here. Tomball Ice Hockey, consisting of players from both Tomball High School and Tomball Memorial High School, kicked off their season with the first practice on Monday and is anticipating the announcement of their official season schedule Friday.

Last year’s season ended with a bittersweet defeat in the playoffs, the team being eliminated by an undefeated San Antonio team. With the end of the season came the end of a vast majority of the team’s high school careers, with eight of Tomball’s players graduating from Tomball Memorial High School.

While Tomball Hockey is feeling the loss of some of its best players, this season is sure to be stocked with new talent and dedication.

The schedule for the season, which will be released Friday on the team’s Instagram (@tomballvarsityhockey), will last until March 2024, when the playoffs begin.
