Anatomy of Gray explores themes of love, loss, and resilience. Set in Gray, Indiana, the play follows June who prays for a healer to visit her town after the death of her father in hopes that no one will ever have to die again.
Her prayers are answered after a mysterious man, Doctor Gaylin P. Gray, arrives in town riding a hot air balloon. His strange arrival seems like a miracle until unforeseen events put the fate of Gray, Indiana is at stake.
In order to put this story to life, Tomball Stage has been consistently working on cuts and reading through the show while trying to figure out blocking. This process has been especially bittersweet for some of this year’s seniors.
Vice President Jordyn Till, portraying the role of June, has felt that four years in theatre have shaped who she is and performing in her last UIL play is truly special.
“Her story is truly amazing and I cannot wait to bring my all to this role and see how far we get.” Jordyn Till said.
These actors are hoping to put on a heartwarming performance and can’t wait to show everything they’ve learned this year in theatre.
“A lot of work is ahead of us,” Jordyn said. “But we will work consecutively as a team to create this wonderful production and truthfully tell the story of Anatomy of Gray.”
