Every school has its own activities, but the Star Party is a unique event open to everyone in the district. It’s a great opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy an evening of stargazing under the open sky.
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 1 at the Tomball High School soccer field, a large open space perfect for stargazing. Experts from the North Houston Astronomy Club will be available to guide visitors, offering information about the constellations, planets, and other celestial objects visible that night.
The Star Party allows participants to observe stars, planets, and distant galaxies up close. The North Astronomy Club will be there with their high-quality telescopes, providing everyone with a chance to see the night sky in incredible detail.
Once the sun sets, only red lights will be permitted to protect everyone’s night vision. Parking will be available in the baseball lot, and clear signs will guide guests to the soccer field where the event will take place.
As the night can get chilly, it’s recommended to dress warmly and prepare for cooler temperatures as the evening progresses. Guests should also consider bringing a blanket or hot drink to stay comfortable while enjoying the night sky.
The Star Party is a chance for the entire community to connect, enjoy the beauty of the universe, and learn about the wonders of space. Whether you’re an experienced stargazer or new to astronomy, this event offers something for everyone, making it a night not to be missed.
