Dual credit sign ups are currntly open so if it is your first time doing dual credit classes here is what you need to do:
- Apply here https://www.applytexas.org/ to sign up
- Click create a free account and go to sign up now at the bottom of your screen
Once you click that here is what you need to sign up:
- Student’s PERSONAL email
- Student’s legal name
- Student’s date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Password
Then click on Create. Once you have, click on welcome, (your name), in the top right corner of your screen. Then do the following:
- Click Account References
- Click edit and turn on email and text preferences, then enter your mobile phone number and click save changes.
By completing this step you will ensure that you receive notification of your application submission.
- Scroll down and click on Find the right application in the bottom right corner of your screen.
After this, you will have to answer a few questions regarding your education, health, citizenship, etc.
You will then review your application, make sure everything is correct, and then scroll down to the bottom of your screen. Official transcripts are not required so please be sure that you DO NOT click on the box at the bottom of the screen. Click next, read the information provided in the section Terms and Conditions and click the two certificate boxes. ( Dual credit students DO NOT submit Bacterial Meningitis vaccination information). Read the consent to be contacted information then select “yes” or “no” for consent to be contacted by the Texas High Education Board.
After that you will see the payment instructions, Lone Star College does not have an application fee so you will not have to pay anything. All there is to do left is to:
- Click the credit or debit card option
- 2. Check the two acknowledgment boxes
- 3. Click SUBMIT
You have successfully completed your application to Lone Star College. Within 1-2 business days you will receive an email with your LSC ID number. If you do not receive the email please contact the LSC IT service desk and ask for your LSC ID number at 281-318-4357. Once you have your LSC ID number, set up your MyLoneStar (LSC Student Portal) account and complete the pre-assessment activity.
