ILPC Awards were presented recently, with THS Student Media earning multiple awards.
Several current and past members of the Student Media program were awarded medals and ribbons by the ILPC program, run by Texas’ UIL Journalism.
For yearbook, former editor Jaime Rowe took 2nd place for sports action photos, while former newspaper editor Lauren Olivarez got third for a feature profile used by yearbook.
Under newspaper print editions, former sports editor Ashton Lux took first place for best sports page design. For online newspaper, Livie Fisher took second place for general news photo, while Ava Bert got an honorable mention for feature photos.
The broadcasting program got a third place medal for the sports intro sequence created by sports director Kayla Anderson.
