The first Tomball community mental health fair is tonight at the Tomball Event Center, from 5:30 p.m. until about 7.
There will be a plethora of informative stands, including (but not limited to) local therapist offices, psychiatrists, school counselors, and recovery organizations.
All groups will be providing resources on how to stay healthy and happy in mind and body. Some helpful tips are to log off of technology and to take a break to do something you truly enjoy. You will find more coping advice by taking the time to learn something new at the fair.
The participants will also teach you how to reach out when you’re in a dark place. They also have tips for parents on how to best communicate with their child. Using these might help strengthen the family bond.
Aside from the opportunity to learn there will also be games and food trucks. Prizes will be given to winners, so be sure to head on down and participate for the chance to get one.
