Golfer, National Honor Society member, AP Capstone member and Math Honor Society member Annabelle Fetner has been selected as the 2024 Graduation Commencement Speaker.
“I’m incredibly excited to have been chosen to represent the Class of 2024!,” Annabelle said. “I’m so grateful for this opportunity to address my peers, their families, our staff, and everyone who has supported us along our high school journey.”
Once the opportunity came up Annabelle knew she wanted to try out for it. As someone who has always enjoyed public speaking, this has helped Annabelle have a unique memory that she’ll be able to look back on as it marks a pivotal moment in the lives of seniors.
Without giving too much away, Annabelle’s speech will be centered around themes of nostalgia, determination, and the power of the community. She wants to reflect on the accomplishments the senior class has achieved and how they have used said accomplishments as fuel for future goals.
After high school Annabelle plans to pursue a career as a Child Life Specialist, aiming to provide crucial support and guidance to hospitalized children and their families during the challenging times. Headed to her dream school, Auburn University, she will be majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences on Auburn’s Pre-Child Life Track.
“I wanted to seize the opportunity to offer words of encouragement and inspiration to the Class of 2024 as we move into the next chapter of our lives,” Annabelle said. “I still can’t believe that I was chosen!”
