Both indoor percussion groups placed in the top three at the Pasadena Memorial contest last Saturday.
Varsity received a score of 80.2, out of 100, which placed them in second. Only 1.9 points away from first place which was Klein Collins.
JV earned a score of 77.3, placing them in third after Sam Rayburn,77.9, and Bridge City, 79.3.
“When we first started this back up we were constantly getting scores in the 70s, and in a lower class,” said junior Josalyn Escobedo. “Starting this season with our scores in the 80s has me hyped up for the rest of the season.”

Their next contest is the TCGC Jordan High School Contest, March 23.
