A group of orchestra students will perform in the 2024 String UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday, Feb. 3.
In orchestra, solo and ensemble are events where students perform their piece, with an accompanist, in front of a judge live and in person. The judge provides feedback and grades the performance; I, II, III, IV, or V with a I being the highest rating. Students who earn a I are eligible to advance to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest that is traditionally held in May.

The contest will be held at the Woodlands High School 9th Grade Campus and will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
