Last weekend the Tomball Cougar Pride Band competed at the Galena Park Festival, taking the win in the 6A division with 1st place overall.
“I’m most excited to see the drill and choreography lined up with the music out on the field, getting to truly perform the whole show with everything cleaned up will be my favorite moment,” said Head Drum Major Morgan Way.
They won against Klein Forest, Elsik, C.E. King, MacArthur, New Caney, Westfield, Dekaney, Alief Hastings, Deer Park, Conroe, and Clear Creek. Last year they were beat by Klein Forest for a spot at Area Finals and are hoping to win against them this year.
This weekend they are headed to the Gulf Coast Classic Marching Contest that will be held in the Challenger Columbia Stadium in League City. This contest will prepare them for the UIL contest since their will be a Prelims and Final rounds.
Scheduled to perform at 12:45 a.m. against 13 bands for a spot in one of the 10 finals spots, they are adding a lot of new drill and choreography this week.
