With the mindset of creativity and excitement, science can end up fun. This is the case for Jessica Schilder. As a teacher, she makes sure that every day, her students are aware and having fun in her class.
Jessica Schilder has a unique way to run her class. Schilder has the guideline for each day but decides to make it different from other teachers. Ranging from lesson activities to labs, Jessica Schilder’s students have a blast each day. With this set in stone, Jessica Schilder has been awarded with the Gold Medal Teacher Recognition.
Getting an award related to anything is very important to that person. Jessica Schilder was stoked about this.
“Getting this award means a lot,” Jessica Schilder said. “The school recognized how hard I have worked. Making lectures is easy but, what I do is harder.”
Jessica Schilder currently teaches astronomy. When in class Schilder keeps everything relevant to the world. She pulls information from the space exploration news to keep her class updated about what goes on in the atmosphere.
On Feb. 6-8, Jessica Schilder was at NASA, presenting one of her lessons to teachers from all over the world. She also is in a satellite club, where they are developing a small experiment to go into space in May 2026.
