After 28 years of serving as a Special Agent of Homeland Security investigations, tackling high-stakes cases with precision and dedication, Fernando Terrazas has traded in his badge for textbooks. Embracing the quiet life of retirement, Fernando is now educating the young minds of high schoolers. As Fernando has taught classes he has also started a Law enforcement club and is now helping the club in its second year.
As a young boy Fernando Terrazas has been super interested in law enforcement ever since he first set eyes on an officer in navy blue when he graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. After Fernando graduated he became a special agent of homeland security investigations and later retired after 28 years of service to our country.
“It’s important to stay focused and determined to accomplish your goal in life and never give up,” Terrazas said.
Terrazas started this club as a fun way for students to be a part of a leadership program. As more students join this club, Fernando has focused on helping the students learn the necessary skills to be successful in their chosen career path.
One of Terrazas students, who has attended the law enforcement type of classes for over two years, is now the vice president of the Law Enforcement Club.
“Mr. Terrazas has one of the best teaching styles I have seen in high school. Not many teachers can teach a class related to a job they did and incorporate it into their class so that the students understand what is going on.” Grayson Peterskin said.
Terrazas is now teaching here at Tomball but also at the Tomball Invitation Center. The Tomball Invitation Center is where Terrazas holds his club. With this club being in its second year, they have already made it to the Stake Competition In Dallas a while back and the club looks forward to seeing where else they will go.
