Tomball varsity hockey gets in the Giving Spirit

Tomball+varsity+hockey+gets+in+the+Giving+Spirit

The Tomball Varsity Hockey Team has had a very active season, with games occurring every weekend at both the Aerodrome and Sugarland’s ice rinks. This past weekend’s game against Klein High School held something particularly special.

Not only was Tomball playing their main rivals, but after the first goal of the game was scored the crowd of fans from both schools threw dozens of teddy bears onto the ice. These bears were then donated to Lone Star’s Santa Organization so that dozens of children could have a cuddly Christmas present this year.

This was a creative and engaging way to get into the giving spirit this holiday season, and they aren’t stopping here. Check out @tomballvarsityhockey on Instagram for a schedule full of games, activities, and other charity events such as the free skate that was held for any student of Tomball ISD this past month.

The last varsity hockey game of 2023 will be at Sugar Land Ice Rink on Sunday, Dec. 17, and the season will resume in the new year.
