The Cougar Charms will be attending their dress rehearsal competition this Saturday at Grand Oaks High School.

While the Charms won’t be competing any team dances, officers, solos and elite will compete for the top spot in their categories for the first time this season. The team will still perform their four dances, but their scores won’t factor into the final awards.

“I’m really excited to get to dance together as a team for my first contest,” freshman Julia Espitia said. “I know our hard work will really pay off.”

The Charms will be performing all dances between 9 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. Performance times are based on the genre of the dance, so the Charms’ dances will be spaced out. Spectators are not required to stay the entire time. Spectator tickets will cost $10 in cash. Spectators 65 and older as well as children under 5 will be charged $6.

There will be vendors at Grand Oaks selling food and products and take only cash. Vendors include Chick-fil-A, Italian Ice, Dip and Dots and Marble Slab and no outside food or drink are allowed. Trendsetters Dance will also be selling t-shirts and accept cash, credit card, or Venmo.
