Track treks to regionals

Riley Cross was the star of Girl’s track last weekend at Regionals, winning 1st in shot put at a distance of 41′ 7” which qualified her for state. Cross also placed 5th in discus.

Last Friday, Tomball High School’s track traveled to Turner Stadium in Humble to compete in Regionals.

Tyler Stafford is returning to state after winning 1st in Pole Vault in Regionals, clearing a height of 15′.

Many others also participated in the meet. The results are:

-Zach Bierman won 4th place in the 400 meter run.

-Tyrn Taylor, Darius Taylor, Zach Bierman and Kendell Gordon ran the 4×100 relay and placed in 9th.

-Girls’ track also competed in the 4×100 relay placing 13th overall. The team was made up of McKena Law, Morgan Law, Brianna Turk, and Faith Allen.

-Kendell Gordon, Darius Taylor, Andrew Cuomos and Brandon Peterson ran the 4×200 and placed 9th.

-Miles Marhafer placed 4th for discus.

-Daniel Hopkins tied with a student from Willis for 9th place in high jump. Christina Thomas, also in high jump, placed 10th.

-For triple jump, Darius Taylor placed in 3rd and Kendell Gordon placed in 7th.

And last but not least, Rachel Maciejeski placed 10th in pole vault.
