Tomball bat Wildcats right out the park

The Cougar baseball team destroyed Memorial last Friday, rolling to a 22-4 victory.

This victory moves baseball on to the Bi-district competitions. Round one will be against Georgetown this Friday at A&M Consolidated with first pitch at 7 p.m.

Round two will also be against Georgetown at the same place, starting at at 1 p.m. Saturday. Game 3 will follow, if needed.

Eric Oakes (#4), one of the pitchers, got the win for the game and made three strong hits while at bat. Zach Diaz (#15) was also a pitcher during the game, although not getting the win, Diaz struck out two Wildcats.

Scott Herrmann (#34) made 3 earth shattering hits along with having the highest RBI of the game which was 5.

Wildcat pitchers weren’t as good because both Zach Hinojosa (#6) and Mark Bonnain (#9) were each walked twice. Bonnain also made 4 runs which was the highest out the game.

On the defense, Lucas Sefcik (#1), Brandon Marshall (#34), and Eli Kerim (#8) each put out three Wildcats.
