Trackletes have major success on home front

Several Coogs from the Varsity Track team did well at last Friday’s home meet, as both the Girls and Boys track teams got 5th place overall.

Darius Bell (12th) got 1st place in Long Jump with a distance of 14′ 6”. Bell also made 1st in Triple Jump with a distance of 47′ flat. Faith Allen (12th) placed 2nd in Long Jump at a distance of 17′ and 10.5”.

Tyler Stafford (12th) pole-vaulted 14′ 6”, which landed him in 1st place.

For Girls pole-vault, Rachel Maciejeski (9th) got 3rd place by pole-vaulting 10′ 6” and Elizabeth Sexton (11th) got 5th place by pole-vaulting 8′ 6”.

The 4x200m relay comprised of  Tyrin Taylor, Darius Bell, Landry Sipe, and Brandon Peterson. Their time was 1 min & 31.740 seconds, landing them in 3rd place.

In the 4x400m relay the Boy’s team comprised of Daniel Hopkins, Tyrin Taylor, Zach Bierman, and Elton Volter made 3rd place. The Girl’s team comprised of Caroline Flanigan, Sydney Sizemore, Brianna Turk, and Faith Allen got 5th place.

Morgan Law, Brianna Turk, McKenna Law, and Faith Allen made 5th place in the 4x100m relay.

Caroline Flanagan (9th)  got 2nd place in the 800m run with a time of 2:29.22.

Riley Cross (11th) did well in both shot-put and discus, making 1st place in shot-put and 2nd in discus.

Cross’s distances were 40′ 0.5” for shot-put and 111′ 5” in discus.

Miles Marhofer (12th) also did well in the throwing events, making 2nd place in shot-put with a distance of 51′ 1” and making 4th in discus with a distance of 140′ 8”.

Last but not least, Brandon Peterson (11th) made 2nd place in the 300m Hurtles, and 3rd place in the 110m Hurtles.
