Track excels at Regionals
Last Friday and Saturday, athletes from Varsity Track team went off to compete at Regional’s in Huntsville.
Several of the Coogs did very well including Riley Cross (10) who finished 3rd in Shot Put and Tyler Stafford (11) also did extremely well, ultimately landing in 1st Place in Pole Vault.
“It all started last summer when I started falling behind,” Stafford said.
Not letting this defeat him, Stafford practiced hard to get where he is now. At Regional’s, Stafford wasn’t stopped till he got to 15’ 3’’ where he scratched.
Next, the team will head to the State competition in Austin. Be sure to support the team as they continue to strive for victory.
