J.V. baseball splits at tournament

Tomball JV baseball opened play at the College Park tournament with wins against College Station and  College Park, before dropping games to Montgomery and Spring.

“Over all, the team played really well, team chemistry was amazing,” said Joe Torres. “However we need more consistency and focus to finish games and throw strikes.” Said Joe Torres.

The Spring Branch Tournament is going to be tough competition for the team. Overall the boys’ should handle the tournament well and bring home the win.

“I personally had a good tournament but I could have had better at bats. I also played alright on the field with a few throwing errors. We played pretty good as a team with a pretty good defense but we need to throw more strikes.” Said Casey Ryan.

“We did good in the tournament, we went 2-2. I did good. I pitched well for two days and allowed my team to compete. Our upcoming tournament is going to have good competition, but I think we can come through.” Said Nolan Maciejeski.

“It wasn’t bad, but we had a slip up against Spring. But it happens; I guess the ball wasn’t bouncing our way. However we took care of business our other two games. I am always looking to better myself and I know my team-mates are too. This upcoming tournament we will kick some serious butt.” Said Jacob Allan.
